Installation Guide: 3 Simple Steps

Step 1: Mount the Device (5 minutes)

Where to install:

• Indoor location only

• Mount at a height of 4–5 feet from the floor

• Position near a power socket

• Position near your WiFi router

How to mount:

1. Mark 4 screw holes on the wall

2. Drill and insert wall plugs

3. Screw in the mounting bracket

4. Hang the UA300 device on the bracket

5. Connect the power cable

The device will turn on automatically once powered.

Step 2: Connect to the Network (5 minutes)

On the UA300 screen:

1. Press MENU

2. Enter the default password: 123456

3. Navigate to: Settings → Network → TCP/IP

Enter your network details:

• IP Address: 192.168.1.201

• Subnet: 255.255.255.0

• Gateway: 192.168.1.1

4. Press OK, then connect the network cable

Test the connection: Type the device's IP address into a web browser. If the page opens, the connection is working.

Step 3: Set Up the Software (10 minutes)

Install ZKTime.net 3.0:

1. Download the software from ZKTeco

2. Run the installer on your Windows PC

3. Click Next → Next → Install

4. Open ZKTime.net 3.0

Add your device:

1. Click "Add Device"

2. Enter the device details:

   • Name: Main Gate

   • IP: 192.168.1.201

   • Port: 4370

3. Click "Test" it should display "Connected"

4. Click Save

Done! Your device is ready to use.

How to Add Employees

Method 1: Directly on the Device (Quick)

1. MENU → Users → Add New

2. Enter ID: 001

3. Enter Name: e.g., Ahmad Khan

4. Place finger on the scanner 3 times

5. Done!

Method 2: Using the Computer (Best for large teams)

1. Open the ZKTime.net software

2. Click "Add Employee"

3. Fill in ID, Name, and Department

4. Click "Register Fingerprint"

5. Have the employee place their finger 3 times

6. Click "Download to Device"
